Co-worker, teacher, friend

Years ago, I used to work daily with photographer Mike Curtis…me in uniform in the Army and him working as a lead photographer for the Army installation to which we were both assigned. After I retired from the Army we kept in touch through his profession and my hobby…photography. His guidance and mentoring to me over the years as I developed my skills with a camera were invaluable to me…as is his friendship today. Recently, he took me to one of his favorite “photo places” while I was on assignment developing a magazine story at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. You have been seeing some of the photos I made there. It’s great having friends like Mike…especially when they carry a Nikon camera.

  1. I’m humbled by these kind words, wish this friendship would have started years ago. It’s good to help those with the same passion that you have. You have truly come a long way.
