This brick clock tower in Madison NC is a bit in need of repair in spots (like the flag and pole, and a broken piece of the left-side glass facing of the dial), but it still makes for a nice photo. I have made photos here before and the last time I did the glass face had not been broken, so I assume some unfortunate vandal paid the building a visit. The tower was dedicated to those who lost their lives during the First World War. I made a telephoto close-up of the clock face so you can read the inscription. As I have mentioned before in this blog, it’s best to have more than one photo when a close up is involved, so that the viewer can get a full understanding of your subject. Of course there are exceptions, such as flowers and texture compositions.
