Here in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, I’m beginning to see more seasonal birds flittering about. Robins especially. I enjoy making photos that show them in a natural setting, as compared, for example, to attracting them with hanging baskets and assorted feeders. It’s Red, Red Robin time now. The “action” photo was an accidental shot. The bird took off just as I clicked the shutter. It’s not as sharp as I’d like, but I’ll take it.

I like the middle one the best, however I would consider cropping this square and removing the road in the background for a simpler composition.
Yeah, a crop might have worked. I considered it but wanted to show the grass stems in the background contrasting with the driveway. Thanks for the good tip.
