I don’t usually see goats grazing in farm fields near our home in SW Virginia, but I recently spotted a number of them as I drove along a rural road. I also saw a few cows standing in a larger field across the road so my photo stop was a good one.

Nice rim lighting on the cows
The cow photo is magical!. No clue what “rim lighting” means but nice lighting indeed! I adore goats but the cow photo really strikes my fancy and stokes my imagination. I notice a farmer rolled stones near the tree, most likely to keep cows and deer from nibbling away all the leaves of the younger tree. Then my eye goes up the trunk of the old tree, and I suspect that tree was hit by lightening once, and it now looks like a chimney, with the clouds over the city in the far background looking like steam or smoke from that tree chimney. It is perfectly aligned.
