Wild Daffodils

Daffodils are a very hearty and popular flower. Their bright yellow blooms, with distinctive shape, brighten up late winter and early spring days. Most are seen growing in flowerbeds alongside homes, but some grow wild, such as these I saw in a wooded area.

I suspect someone discarded yard debris in the woods, accumulated perhaps while cultivating an existing flower bed in their yard, and that debris contained a few small bulbs. Eventually the bulbs multiplied and brightened up an otherwise colorless scene.
