Mystery in a Photograph

I recently discovered a small house which had an interesting entryway. I saw a nice photograph. There was “old” and “new” in the composition. Was anyone inside secretly looking out at me standing there?

However, it was not until I walked around the perimeter of the house that I found a real photo treasure: an old Coca Cola bottle siting in a window, with a mass of cobwebs at its base. I wondered how long the bottle had been there. Who put it there and why? These type photos are precious to me because of the mysteries they often present.
