We have a “family” of Cooper’s Hawks that have taken up residence in the wooded area of our neighborhood in SW Virginia. While walking out of our home early in the morning with my Fuji XT30 camera with 55-200mm lens, looking for any sort of bird composition, I heard the familiar “screech” of one of the family, high above me in a bare limb tree, clearly announcing its presence and surveying the area below.
