A Fast Flyer

As I pass by our flower bed full of Lantana, I have been watching several Hummingbird Moths buzzing from flower to flower. They fly and move just like hummingbirds. Like them, they can remain suspended in the air in front of a flower while they unfurl their long tongues and insert them in flowers to sip their nectar. I finally had my camera at the right time to capture these interesting insects in flight.

    1. Thanks. I remembered your photos, same subject, a few weeks ago and that made me look more carefully here. I’m waiting for more butterflies. As an aside, i read the UK is in for some excessive heat. I remember when we were living in West Germany during the 80’s and I often wore a jacket in mid summer to stay comfortable. Climate is changing.
